Watson was the only British actress in the top ten with the others being American including Jennifer LawrenceKristen Stewart, Anne Hathaway,Emma Stone, Mila Kunis, Natalie Portman, Angelina Jolie, and Zoe Saldanarounding out the top 10.

Robert Pattinson disses Twilight fans

It seems Robert Pattinson thinks that Twilight fans should have moved on by now from the series which made him famous.

The British actor who starred in five Twilight saga films told a German magazine that he couldn’t understand why persons were so fascinated with the movies and asked what these people do with their days.

The 27-year-old Pattinson told “Interview” magazine: “The real odd thing about this Twilight target group is that they aren’t really teenagers. Most of them are older”.

This isn’t the first time that Pattinson, who also starred in the Harry Potter franchise, has insulted his fans.

He once said that the book by Stephanie Meyer was one that wasn’t supposed to be published.

The English actor, who broke up with fellow Twilight star Kristen Stewart and had dated her friend and Elvis Presley’s granddaughter, Riley Keough, wants to break away from his association with the vampire character that made him famous – Edward Cullen.

The actor hopes to break into the music industry. He is currently in Los Angeles filming the thriller “Map To The Stars”, a movie being directed by David Cronenberg.

British teens do better in franchise films

Australian star Liam Hemsworth who is in this summer’s biggest bomb “Paranoia” crashed and burned on his first outing outside of last summer’s movie franchise hit “The Hunger Games”.

Several of the biggest franchise movie names including Daniel Radcliffe of “Harry Potter” fame and Robert Pattinson who made his name in the vampire series “Twilight” have also had starring roles outside of their better known series.

Radcliffe starred in eight Harry Potter films and has had some big splashes in the theatre since. He starred in the play Equus as well as “How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying”. He also starred in the movie “The Woman in Black” which gained mixed reviews and earned $127 million world-wide.

Radcliffe will next star as Igor in the upcoming film FrankensteinAnother British star, Pattinson, drew the crowds as Edward Cullen in Twilight but his other roles have been not so well received including his turn in the movie “Water For Elephants” alongside Reese Witherspoon.

He also starred in “Bel Ami” and “Cosmopolis” but neither film did well at the box office. Radcliffe’s Harry Potter co-star Emma Watson has had the biggest success so far starring in the acclaimed “Perks of Being a Wallflower” and “This Is the End”.

Paranoia bombs up the box office

Gary Oldman and Harrison Ford‘s new film Paranoia has proven to be Ford’s biggest box office bomb ever. The action thriller starring the British Oldman and one of the biggestHollywood actors (Ford) going head to head with Australian actor Liam Hemsworth in the middle was estimated to make as little $6 million after taking in $3.5 million in its first three days in cinemas.

The film is one of the worst box office performers for all three actors and one of the biggest bombs of the summer. It’s also Ford’s worst-reviewed film to date. It has gotten mostly “rotten” reviews behind 1994′s “Jimmy Hollywood”. Paranoia cost an estimated $35 million to make and stars Oldman as Nicholas Wyatt and Ford as his corporate rival Jack Goddard with Hemsworth using entry-level staffer Adam Cassidy as a pawn.

Ford stars in the adaptation of the movie “Ender’s Game” in November. Harrison Ford has starred in some of the biggest movies in history including Raiders of the Lost Ark, the other films in the Indiana Jones franchise, and of course, the Star Wars franchise.

Oldman starred in the Harry Potter films while Hemsworth was in the hit The Hunger GamesDirector Robert Luketic has had other flops such as Monster-in-Law and The Ugly Truth.

Harry Potter takes on Frankenstein

Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe continues to shake off the role he has been most associated with when he plays the doctor’s assistant Igor in the new Fox Frankenstein movie.

The English actor Radcliffe, who signed up for the project in February, will play alongside Scottish actor James McAvoy who was cast in the main role of Dr. Victor Von Frankenstein. It is reported that in this new film, Igor’s secret past will be revealed.

Both Radcliffe and McAvoy are below average height for men with Radcliffe measuring in at 5’5’ and McAvoy coming in at 5’7’. Radcliffe originated the role which made him famous – that of boy wizard Harry Potter. He has aso starred in a number of other adult roles including The Woman in White and also starred in the stage play Equus in which he appeared naked.

McAvoy is perhaps best known for films such as Wanted, The Last King of Scotland, and X-Men: First Class. No date has yet been announced for start of production but the film is to be directed by Paul McGuigan. McGuigan’s film projects include Lucky Number Slevin and Push. He has also directed episodes of the British series Sherlock as well as the NBC series Smash.
