Boosting “To Do’s” and Gmail integration!

CircleMe’rs!
Wow – great to have already so many of you on the platform, having fun and enjoying your likes. The buzz on us on the web has been great and we’re grateful to all of you for spreading the word! Since we promised to keep you updated with all the new stuff on CircleMe, a couple of super-fresh news for you.
First, we just added a cool new feature related to our “to do’s”. From today, every time you decide to create a new activity for an item, a helper function will show you a list of other existing “to do’s” related to that item, so that you can decide to join one of them instead of creating a brand new (and lonely) “to do”. Cool, right?
Now, this is a feature for the many of you who have already started playing with the “to do” function. If you have not tried the overall functionality yet, give it a shot: basically “to do’s” are a way to mark down (in an organized fashion) all the activities you want to do related to a specific item (perhaps a suggestion to read a book or watch a movie, which you received from a friend of yours). The “to do” function is feature-rich, and if you desire you can even receive reminders based on the deadline you decide, so that you won’t forget to accomplish everything you propose to.
Secondly, from today finding friends and contacts within CircleMe gets even easier. Yes, we heard you, and after Facebook Connect, we have now also integrated Gmail on our platform. Oh yeah, baby! Now, with a simple click, you can also check who are all your Gmail contacts that have already an account on CircleMe. What are you waiting for? Go people-searching now!
Alright, that’s all for today. Now, don’t forget that every opinion really matters to us: thanks to your continued support, we hope to make CircleMe always a better experience for you. CircleOn!

CircleMe: from Private to Viral beta!

In concomitance with our participaton at StartUp Week  2011 in Vienna, we are very excited to launch CircleMe in Viral beta, event that will allow anyone to sign-up to our system as long as they have a Facebook friend already inside CircleMe or if they can get someone to invite them from “inside”. Come on, let’s make it fun!

Also, note that in the last days we have also released a lot of little changes to CircleMe, to improve the user-experience and the existing features.

A few things you will find different from today: firstly, we have greatly improved the experience as soon as you sign-up into the system, with a very easy to understand QuickStart page; secondly, we implemented  Categories  for the To-Do’s so that you can manage better all your future activities in the pipeline; and finally we have introduced the Instant Updates (a better way to get notifications starting from the MePage).

We heard you (through the feedback, the surveys, the tweets, etc.) and we made these changes. Hope you’ll enjoy every little improvement!
Thank You.. and since sign-ups are ramping up quickly, a warm welcome to all new CircleMe’ers!

Stop just liking, start circling!

We’re counting the hours before we are going to provide access to the viral Beta of www.circleme.com. This launch coincides with our participation at the StartUpWeek  in Vienna. That’s why we also thought it would be the perfect time to create this short cool video, on which we present ourselves in a simple and nice way ” Stop just liking, start circling! “.

Share it, like it and let your friends know about CircleMe, because we just begin our adventure of  living our likes.

CircleMe is in the buzz!

These last days were awesome for CircleMe!  Many posts were published regarding the platform: personal impressions, reviews, positive advice to readers suggesting to sign up and also tips on how to use CircleMe at its best . Great!  We thought to mention some of these, to express our gratitude and offer you some different views on CircleMe.

Here we start…

Ali Abid, the owner of www.introvertial.posterous.com ,  a social-media passionate blogger wrote a comprehensive and detailed review, after he personally experienced CircleMe. With over 13 screenshots, his post covered fully all the utilities that the platform has to offer. Thanks to this detailed work, this post was the most popular on his blog for that week!

Secondly, Juan Diego Polo , “teacher and analyst”, that collaborates with wwwhatsnew.com,impressed us with his concise but spot-on positive review of the platform. The article had a great resonance on Twitter . Written in Spanish , Juan Diego announced: “CircleMe-giving more utility to our social likes”. He also paid special attention also the Privacy matter, highlighting the features that CircleMe offers to make sure users are in full control of what they share.

Finally, Erik Lumer, the founder and executive Chairman of Cascaad (the company which is behind CircleMe) was interviewed by Fortunato Pinto, an Italian journalist who writes for www.mediaduemila.it, a digital culture magazine. The interview touched on several important aspects related to social-media trends and the journalist was also able to bring on the table considerations on “what makes CircleMe different” and on the potential competition to CircleMe.

We are really happy for the initial buzz created around our product, and we are honoured of the consideration. With this positive attitude, we are confident to participate in the Startup Challenge 2011, in Vienna, with the right attitude.
