CircleMe in Italiano!

An Italian speaker would say “Fantastico!”. Yes, because from today our beloved CircleMe platform on the web is fully translated in Italian. Any user of CircleMe from today will be able to set the user-interface to Italian just by visiting their settings and selecting Italian as the preferred language. We have already prepared more than 5,000 interests, 30,000 posts and 6,000 calendar events for our Italiano’s :).

Why Italian before other more popular languages? For a couple of reasons: on one side, Italy is the second most active country on CircleMe after the USA and just before the UK: on the other side, our company has strong roots in Italy and proudly we want all Italian-only speakers to be able to enjoy our platform to the fullest.

CircleMe in Italiano

With today we kick-off hopefully a process to localize our application in as many languages as possible, and as soon as we can. We have received requests to translate CircleMe in Spanish, French, Portuguese (BR), German, Thai and many other languages. We are a small team, so please be patient with us. If, on the contrary, you cannot wait for CircleMe to be translated in YOUR language and you want to help us, just write us a note at info [at] and we will be super-grateful to welcome you as a “localization supporter”. 🙂

And now… enjoy our BELLISSIMO CircleMe!

Atkins and Von Oswald keeping the beat alive in Berlin

Electronic Dance Music or EDM is here to stay. House music developed in the black night clubs of Chicago and Detroit in the United States in the mid-1980’s and has evolved since taking a whole new generation and countries, especially in Europe by storm.

In Germany, the band Juan Atkins and Moritz Von Oswald have been helping to link the beats of Detroit with the capital Berlin.

According to Moritz Von Oswald, in an interview with Electronic Beats, the idea of playing electronic music in the German capital was a brain storm of Dimitri from Tresor who got the idea to link the music being played in the USA in Berlin.

“He really pushed things forward. He was really into getting Berlin and Detroit to connect. Tresor worked on getting [music] well spread, and over boundaries,” said Von Oswald.

Moritz doesn’t necessarily describe himself as a techno person but as a “rhythmically interested” person and he wants to put a lot of things into his music such chords and harmony into his rhythms.

Juan Atkins came onto the season in the 1980s and started the association with Von Oswald in the 1990s. One of their most important collaborations is the album Borderland.

Podgorica Festival a hit

The Electronic Beats Fall Festival got off with a bang with the first festival in Podgorica in Montenegro (read here more news about Podgorica). Some of the acts in the lineup were Disclosure, Mount Kimbie, and Retro Stefson.

The event was staged in a small sports stadium with not so great weather as there were a few rain showers.

Retro Stefson opened the concert with high energy from the eight-piece synth-pop group presenting music from their latest self-titled album which was released earlier this year.

Mount Kimbie, who also released their second album earlier this year, and are currently on tour in Europe and the USA, contributed to an already party atmosphere with soundtrack from the musical duo of Dominic Maker and Kai Campos out of London.

The sibling pair of Guy and Howard Lawrence, otherwise known as Disclosure, had a good-sized crowd by the time they took to the stage. Still only a few months after they released their debut album, the pair were eagerly awaited by the soaking-wet Podgorica crowd.

The Electronic Beats Fall series will continue with concerts in Zagreb, Croatia and Dresden, Germany later this year.

Catherine Zeta-Jones among hottest women over 40

British actress Catherine Zeta-Jones has been turning heads for almost two decades and is now being named as one of the hottest women in Hollywood over 40 years old.

Other women over 40 on the list include Gwyneth Paltrow, who is married to Coldplay lead singer, Chris Martin, British supermodel Naomi Campbell who is 43, Colombian actress Sofia Vergara who stars in the American sit-com “Modern Family”.

It is perhaps a blessing that good Zeta-Jones is still considered hot. The 43-year-old Welsh-born actress, who starred in this summer’s sequel, “Red2”, is reported to be about to split from her husband of 13 years, Hollywood legend, Michael Douglas.

The Oscar-winning mother of two children Dylan and Carys, has not been pictured together with her husband for the last four months.

Both 68-year old Douglas and Zeta-Jones have struggled with personal health issues within the last few years. Zeta-Jones revealed that she was suffering from bipolar disorder while Douglas had a very public battle with throat cancer.

The pair live in separate homes, Zeta-Jones in New York state and Douglas in Manhattan. Douglas is currently on the East Coast of the USA filming a movie with Diane Keaton.
