For this reason, with our most recent release, we have launched a new feature to provide User Tips to all new users accessing our web app. It’s sort of a welcome process, where we show you (from time to time) a specific tip related to how you can use the product, just while you are discovering it.

You will discover these tips as you go. For example, as you access the site, we give you a little welcome, like this one:

The “checked card”: keeping the tab on what you read

For some time now you have been asking for features to improve the user-experience related with managing the quasi-infinite content we distribute on the site (we now publish more than 50,000 new content posts per month, related to any interest you can imagine).

From today, you have one more nifty feature to do that: we will show on your Updates feed all the articles that you have already read, so that you can visually see what’s left to read. Nothing too fancy: just a classy shading and a check mark.

Our team has been using the feature for few days, and it seems to make quite a difference, without being visually too “loud”. We hope you will appreciate this new added feature. As usual, we love to hear your feedback, so just let us know (by writing to us at support at circleme dot com, tweeting us @circleme or commenting on our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/CircleMeTeam).

Enjoy the ‘checked card’ feature now!

CircleMe integrates with Spotify

On CircleMe there are now over 90,000 pages on music legends, rock bands, genres and singers. Any music interest that you can think of (from Lady Gaga to Giuseppe Verdi, from Adele to Pink Floyd, from Freddie Mercury to Dubstep or Hip-Hop) has probably a page on our platform.

From today, for the vast majority of these pages dedicated to Music, we have integrated also the fantastic Spotify service. Here below you can see how the Spotify integration looks like. A vertical card containing a playlist (provided by Spotify API’s) related to the specific music topic.

As you visit any interest page dedicated to Music, you might encounter any of these cards. In that case, to hear some music about that singer, band or genre of music, just click on the PLAY button and enjoy the stream (of course you have to signup to Spotify to use the service, but who wouldn’t want this awesome service, right?!).

Remember also that you can always use also our iTunes(TM) player and click on the button to go purchase the tracks directly on the iTunes Store(TM).

Movie Reviews: check!

Did you mark some movies as ToDo’s on CircleMe (or you just did a Like for them)? Well, if you did… good job!

By doing this, you get lots of cool benefits as a consequence. You can find the movie in your Personal Calendar (here an example for the CircleMe Team user), when it’s releasing in your city. You can receive news on the actors, sequels, little scoops and gossip, and so on. Last, but surely not least, thanks to a great integration with Rotten Tomatoes(tm) now you can also get a great review of the movie, from the public and the critic, with some specific viewers comments and of course a link to Rotten Tomatoes(tm) to read more about the motion picture.

As an example, here is the review card for the movie The Devil Wears Prada:

Sure that thousands of cinema fans will love this new addition to the Movies category, we wish you a great “cinematic experience” on CircleMe!

It’s time we speak French, mais oui!

Oh yes, we are on a roll!

Just ten days after releasing the Italian version of CircleMe (web), today we released our first Android version of the app in French: fantastique!

Get it here and let us know your feedback.

CircleMe in French We are very excited to get this version out, as French users are the fourth community on CircleMe, in terms of registered users. Furthermore, the gallic community has always been really supportive of CircleMe, since launch in 2012, and from the very early days we always received excellent and constructive feedback from the many early adopters from such wonderful region of the world.

Besides the French language, the new version of Android comes also with some nice features, including the Universal Post action, which we’ll tell you more about in a different blog post. We have done also quite a bit of work to render the app quicker in loading content, and more stable (avoiding some crashes we’ve seen occurring in the last weeks).

We trust you’ll love our new Android app. Now go and get it… “allez y!” (You can download it now herehttps://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.cascaad.circleme&hl=en)

Merci et à bientôt!

CircleMe in Italiano!

An Italian speaker would say “Fantastico!”. Yes, because from today our beloved CircleMe platform on the web is fully translated in Italian. Any user of CircleMe from today will be able to set the user-interface to Italian just by visiting their settings and selecting Italian as the preferred language. We have already prepared more than 5,000 interests, 30,000 posts and 6,000 calendar events for our Italiano’s :).

Why Italian before other more popular languages? For a couple of reasons: on one side, Italy is the second most active country on CircleMe after the USA and just before the UK: on the other side, our company has strong roots in Italy and proudly we want all Italian-only speakers to be able to enjoy our platform to the fullest.

CircleMe in Italiano

With today we kick-off hopefully a process to localize our application in as many languages as possible, and as soon as we can. We have received requests to translate CircleMe in Spanish, French, Portuguese (BR), German, Thai and many other languages. We are a small team, so please be patient with us. If, on the contrary, you cannot wait for CircleMe to be translated in YOUR language and you want to help us, just write us a note at info [at] circleme.com and we will be super-grateful to welcome you as a “localization supporter”. 🙂

And now… enjoy our BELLISSIMO CircleMe!
